How to make an android battery last longer?

In this article, I will tell you some of the unnoticed or unfamiliar tips to improve the battery life of your Android device. Stick with this article and if you liked it, please comment below or share my post 🙂

Turn off Mobile Data when not in use

Yeah, this is the hidden culprit who is just sucking most of your battery! As JIO revolutionized the Telecom Industry by providing us with almost unlimited data, we just forgot that we can turn off mobile data when not in use. Most of us (including me) keep data turned on 24×7, which affects our SOT a lot and in order to improve it, we need to keep it off when not in use to improve the phone battery. Prefer using Wi-fi or switching to 2G or 3G instead of 4G or 5G mode when traveling. By following these methods you will save battery while using mobile data.

80% is the sweet spot to stop charging

With our busy schedule, we hardly get time to charge our phone during the daytime, so we just charge it overnight. Although nowadays Mobile manufacturers provide the auto-cut feature, it won’t just unplug your charger right? Many of you won’t agree to this, but overcharging does affect your battery life because when your phone’s battery reaches 80% or above, it produces more heat, and heating causes lithium-ion batteries to age faster.

Always make sure you disconnect your android mobile phone once you charge your android 80% to increase its battery life. The thing I would like to mention is that this won’t give more SOT than 100% charge. Don’t misinterpret my statement. I am saying is if you will keep a habit of charging your phone to 80% only, it will improve the battery life and you will get a good backup for a long time. This means after following this charging tip you will improve and increase the battery life of your android phones or android tablets, and even after 2-3 years, your android phone will give good SOT.

Store in a cool, dry place to increase battery life of android

When you charge your phone, you need to check where you put it. Try to avoid covering it with a pillow or anything. Because I noticed it many times when we cover our device it keeps on heating up because there is no place for heat to escape. This could be the reason that your device’s battery drains fast and by preventing this you can increase the battery life of your android phone.

Screen Brightness won’t give you Vitamin D

Screen Light won’t give you Vitamin D so keep it as low as possible. The screen brightness of the screen matters a lot for SOT. Many of us keep our brightness to full or half all the time. You need to stop doing that, either keep it to auto or adjust it manually and keep it as low as possible. This is recommended for your eyes and battery also this could be the reason behind fast battery drain in your Android device. Setting brightness to auto all the time is not a good suggestion, as it is not battery friendly. Set your brightness to auto only when you are outdoor. After following this tip battery life of your android phone will increase.

System Updates: Boon or bane?

You should be more careful with the updates. Updates are meant to improve the device’s performance but not always. In some cases, some updates might cause issues like battery drain. So before updating your device ask other users about the latest update and proceed accordingly. Although these are rare cases where updating your Android phone will cause battery drain.
