How to Install YouTube Vanced manager? [Root/Non-Root]

In today’s article I will share YouTube Vanced manager official link and steps to install YouTube Vanced manager.

What is YouTube Vanced manager?

According to YouTube Vanced manager developer:-

Hi, when we released Vanced 15.05.54, people were upset because it used the .apks format, which was way harder to install than a traditional .apk file. Even though we wrote clear instructions on how to install the new Vanced build, people still couldn’t figure it out.
Then we thought, “why don’t we make a manager for vanced, which will download, update and uninstall Vanced and MicroG, have an easy and understandable UI and be less than 10mb?” and that’s how Vanced Manager was born.

How to install YouTube Vanced Manager APK?

We have the following two methods for installing YouTube Vanced. If your device is rooted then use YouTube Vanced Root method, if your device is not rooted use YouTube Vanced Non-Root method.

YouTube Vanced Non-root method

If your device is not rooted follow this method to install YouTube Vanced non-root version.

  • Download the latest Vanced Manager from here on your Android device.
  • Install the app and open it.
  • Make sure to select “non-root” during the initial configuration wizard.
  • Tap “Install” next to MicroG.
  • Follow the instructions to allow installing from unknown apps.
  • MicroG will download, and then you’ll tap “Install” when it’s ready.
  • Next, tap “Install” next to Vanced.
  • Select your preferred theme and tap “NEXT”.
  • Select your preferred language and tap “FINISH”.
  • Vanced will download, and you’ll tap “Install” when it’s ready.
  • Success!

YouTube Vanced root method

This method can be considered for rooted user to install YouTube Vanced root version.

  • Download the latest Vanced Manager from here on your Android device.
  • Install the app and open it.
  • Make sure to grant the app superuser access during the initial configuration wizard.
  • You will have to disable signature verification in the framework to allow Vanced to install over the official YouTube APK.
    • At this point, you can tap the “Guide” button to open an external site and follow the guide mentioned therein, to disable signature verification.
    • You can also use a Magisk Module like Smali Patcher to systemlessly modify the Android framework. Note that you may need to re-create and re-apply the module after installing an official system software update.
    • Disabling signature verification is highly insecure and not recommended to doing. Please exercise your own discretion.
  • After you’re done with disabling signature verification, simply tap the “Install” buttons and select your theme and language.
  • YouTube Vanced will be installed as a system app.
  • Success!
